In Furs

Old lady, in grey furs
went for a stroll across town
Came across a young lady
in dark furs, and wearing a slight frown

"Greetings, dear friend,
greetings to you",
said the old lady to young
Both they bowed
and straightened their furs
and together strolled acoss town

"Shall we dine?" the younger proposed
thus pleasing the older one so
"With great pleasure", she replied
"But on what shall we dine?"

"On meat, of course, for us reserved",
the reply then was heard,
"the best that humankind has preserved."
"And we'll give it respect it has deserved",
nodded the older lady furred

And strolled they to enjoy meat
from dirty streets to place
clean and neat
left to them by humankind
